Introductory Spanish
$330 per semester
This high-energy class will include opportunities to practice conversing in Spanish using weekly assigned vocabulary, games, group activities along with more rigorous quizzes and exams in order to prepare them for high school level Spanish. Latin American history, culture and geography is included. Students will be assigned engaging homework throughout the week that requires internet access. 

Students will learn:

-Common sets of words, such as days of the week, months, numbers 1-100, colors, clothes, foods, parts of the body, common classroom objects, polite expressions, etc.

-How to ask and answer simple questions in the present tense about common topics.

-How to read passages with simple vocabulary and sentence structure.
-How to write sentences and/or short paragraphs in the present tense about any of the topics studied.

-About countries in which Spanish is spoken.

*There is an annual student fee for all students taking classes at Pacific Coast Learning Center. Some charter schools allow for this fee to be added to the cost of classes rather than being paid out-of-pocket by parents. If your charters agrees, you may add $80 per semester to your purchase order to cover student fees. You may select this option when you register for the class. 

You do not need to purchase your student a textbook. Included in the semester fee is Voces Novice online curriculum. To learn more about the curriculum used see
